Is the t/s flasher an integral part of the switch?

I've looked the wiring diagram over till I'm cross-eyed and can't find a flasher anywhere.

I was looking to power an led circuit off the t/s switch but before the flasher. Looks like I'd have to take the switch apart to do it though.

Anybody know for sure?

Thanks

The flasher is integrated into a module also containing the side stand safety switch relay. See items 7 and 8 in the fuse box area of the wiring diagram.

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. I didn't quite make it to 17,000 miles on the 2012 DL650A.

Ya got me. I was looking at the wee diagram. You have the sidestand relay circled which is inside the module along with the flasher. The contacts to the immediate right of it are the flasher contacts. You can trace the Lbl wire from there to the turn signal switch. O/G is the hot supply to the flasher.

That's the way I read it. It looks like the switch closes the circuit after the current passes through the flasher. But the O/G is hot all the time (with iginition switch on) so there is nothing that provides constant (unflashed) voltage only when the turn signal switch is closed.

Too bad!

Back to the drawing board.

Yep. That's how it works. You could bypass the OEM flasher and install your own where you need it but you'd have to make sure the hazard flashers would work right. http://11109.rapidforum.com/topic=110469136260 may be interesting.
