Shorty Bandit Screen

I had a old 1200 bandit screen. Not being used. So I sized it up, drilled some holes and presto. Shorty screen. It seemed real good on the highway. Clean air. Warm weather is coming, and my givi screen is great. Its just nice to get some good clean air....

I have a madstad. With my givi and the madstad full low and tilted back about 80 percent, great. I did run my stocker with it too. Good, but not as good as the givi. My new shorty does hit me with more wind, but it is clean and smooth. I just mounted it and went from work to the highway then home. It seemed very good though. I'm going to run it for a while, good warm weather coming up here in washington this week. I'll ride it for a while then give another update.

One thing that I like so far with my bandit shorty fang screen, is around town. I've had my givi for a while, and its great. But around the city it is nice to not have to look over anything. I feel like I'm on one of my old dual sports. I really think this will be a good screen for off road (gravel) riding. I need to win the lottery so I can ride more. Work is really getting in the way....:bom_dunce:

Welcome to the club. I cut down my stocker (even lower than yours) and it's great.

The good weather isn't here yet. Today was rain. It's not bad for city rainy type of conditions. Stop light, slow kinda stuff. You get a little wet no matter what type of screen you have. I think it actually gives you a little better view of all the painted stripe stuff, tar snakes and any thing else that is in the road. I plan on pounding out some miles this weekend. That will be the true test... I do think IMO that shorty screens do look way more sporty though... You just can't go wrong with a strom....

Finally took it out for some good old highway testing. Up at good speed, 80 or so its not that great in traffic. The wind gets a little unstable. With no traffic its not bad, but I have to say that the givi is the best.
The wind screen was off my old bandit, and it had some buffeting problems. I just had to give it a shot.
I have my old windscreen from my zzr too. I might have to get creative with that and see what I can come up with.
Keep on cutting and grinding.....

I found basiclly the same speed barrier with mine, but that's fast enough for me.
