Garage
In the Chicago are, the 600 mile service is an oil and filter change plus checking bolts for tightness. California adds a TBS for emissions reasons. The schedule for service is in the owner's manual.

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. I didn't quite make it to 17,000 miles on the 2012 DL650A.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 DL1000s. Vee2=2014-2016 DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 DL650s. Glee = 2012-2016 DL650s

most V-stroms are CA models regardless of where you live, it's a good idea anyway to check your TPS and TBS adjustments @ 600 miles

as well as the items previously mentioned, oil change & fastener check

also , cable adjustments, clutch on the 650, chain, clean & lube pivots, caliper pins, etc

the first 600 miles, things move, stretch, shift and get seated into place

it takes an experienced mechanic 1-2 hours to do first service, don't listen to the guys that tell you its a 10 minute job
