PAIR system removal

Is there a write-up anywhere about removing the the PAIR system from the 1000? I've done this on my other bike (RC51) so I'm kinda familiar with it. I just want to make sure that I remove all the correct parts. Thanks.

Just curious....what is the advantage of removing this, I hope it isn't to try and lose some weight?

Well the advantages on my RC51 were basic really:

1. clean up excess clutter...hoses, solenoids, etc.
2. SLIGHTLY increase exhaust scavenging
3. a very small reduction in weight

My RC51 is a race bike so every little bit counts.

Looked at the service manual...seems the same basically as my RC so I guess a write-up isn't needed.

I de-smogged mine when I installed the TFI, it makes life much easier when "under the hood" IMO. Pull all related hoses/pumps/crap and replace with high quality automotive rubber caps where needed.

I've done this on my VTX, but I would still love to see a writeup for the DL. If anyone has time to take pictures of their process, please do

I'll probably do a write-up when I have time to actually complete the mod.

I did this too, same procedure. I used those rubber caps and zip-tied them to make sure they didn't slip off.

Geez, you guys really don't like clean air do you?

I can understand for a racing bike, but for a street bike?
