Stuck bolts

I'm installing the Amotostuff skid plate and need to remove the two bolts holding on the sidestand. They are STUCK! Any thoughts on loosening them up. I thought about getting some PB Blaster or similar penetrating oil. Would that work? Or is there a better way?

Penetrating oils are always a good bet. I also used a long socket extension and a 2' piece of pipe over the socket wrench as added leverage. And had my son hold the bike while I piled on the torque.

I had him continue to hold the bike just off the sidestand while I did the rest of the install for that bracket - I didn't have a centerstand at the time.

They probably have threadlocker on them. Some heat may make it much easier to loosen them.

Yes. Heat is the key. They have the high strength locker on them.

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. I didn't quite make it to 17,000 miles on the 2012 DL650A.

I used a pipe on the end of a 1/2 inch drive ratchet. Leverage is the key.

For sure, those bolts are in real good....... I used half inch sized ratchet and extension. I to think heat is the answer......
