Bridgestone BTO21

For those of you who may not know, this tire I just mounted on the rear is a "dual compound" design, meaning a harder rubber in the center and softer on the sidewalls....theoretically supposed to last longer. My Trailwings lasted about 10 K and the BTO20 lasted about 8K......stay tuned. BTW, I never noticed ANY difference in traction, handling, wet weather, ride quality, ect. in the previous rear tires and this one is no different.

I've had the 021 on my little 6Fiddy for a couple of months now. So far it's at least as good as the 020 in the dry, haven't had a chance to "test it" in the wet. I used an old durometer to confirm that the center is a harder compound than the sides. Time will tell whether or not it lasts longer than the 020. Typically I'm getting about 8K out of the 020s.

:hand: Experience is a hard teacher because the test is first, the lesson afterward.

How do you think that rear will match up with a Tourance front? I just hate to replace my front Tourance, it still has probably 8 thousand safe miles left.

Don't know....I've run different combinations front and rear and to tell you the truth I never noticed any ill or unusual handling....I just wanted a tire more appropriate for the type of riding I do and one that I could get more miles out of. The sidewall reads "Sport Touring" if thats any value.
