raising the bars

Is there a way to raise the handle bar mounts with big washers? I don't want to use "bar-backs", because it changes the steering speed/geometry. I just want to raise them, with the bars still maintaining the same steering head angel. It appears the bar mounts have plenty of screw left under the triple-clamp. Any know if this will work? Thanx, Doug.

We stock both versions of the GenMars for the V-Stroms. The up and back ones are the most popular. We can even save ya a little $$$ on them.
