Aftermarket progressive to aftermarket straight rate?

I replaced the stock springs on my Wee with a set of Wilbers progressive springs. I was told stick with the stock fluid because of the range of temperatures I ride in.

After 6000 miles on the Wilbers, I still think the front end feels too soft, even with the roads in my area being so bad that there are days I wish I was riding a full blown dirt bike.

I don't want to start another spring type debate, I'm just curious to know if anyone has replaced their stock fork springs for aftermarket progressive springs, and then decided to replace those with straight rate springs.

If so, did you notice any improvements?

While we certainly believe straight rate springs are better, the real world difference for most people isn't huge. Going from stock to any aftermarket spring is a much bigger leap than going from a progressive spring to a straight rate one. It does depend some on how big you are and how hard you ride.
In your situation I'd go up to a 50/50 mix of 10 and 15w oil, set the level to 150mm. Try that and see how it is. If it's still too soft raise the level to 140mm. If that doesn't cut it then you need better springs.
