Broke a peg

Had a minor crash last thursday when a garbage truck leaked hydraulic fluid causing me to slide out in a left-hand curve. I was taking it easy and ended up with minor road rash on the bottom of my left forearm and left lower hip. The Wee suffered a broken toe-piece on the gear shifter which I fixed by grinding down the remaining nub, drilling a hole thru where the piece broke and installing long 6mm bolt and covered it with a Shiftsock. Damn near good as new. Also broke off the left footpeg at the bracket. The spring, pin and bracket were still intact but bent a little. A few hits with a hammer straitened out the bracket and pin. I have an old 1992 Honda Z50 mini-bike that I use to patrol my property. I decided to see if I could use one of its pegs and IT FIT!! I like these pegs so much I just ordered 2 more full sets(cheap) and am switching over to them. Going on a trip to Colorado in a few weeks and can take the extra set along as spares. Gonna order frame sliders from Blair as well.

Update: I've had these pegs on my Wee now for 2 weeks and like them. They don't install as a perfect fit but they can go on with a little effort. What I like about them is that the pegs are small. They are tucked into the frame, and let you lean the bike over in turns without dragging your boot. They seem to be plenty strong. I like them.

Further update: I've now had these little pegs on my bike for 4 weeks. I really REALLY like them. They tuck in nicely to the side of the bike so that you don't have to worry about dragging in a corner. The fit is NOT perfect. Take a Dremel with a grinding wheel and make them fit juuuuust right.

EXCELLENT!! Those are even better than the Z50 units and $10 cheaper per peg. Thanks for the link.
