Question Buel foot pegs on my DL1000

I have a pair of Buel Ulyses foot pegs that will fit on my DL1000. They should lower the pegs by nearly an inch. I am tall and this extra inch may be a godsend on a long ride!

Has anyone done this mod? How do I adjust the brake and shifter height?

I bought a set. Sent them back. They are not a good fit. Have to crank your foot in to shift and brake. The pin size is wrong so mods are required. The Original post made no mention of these real issues. I saw on the Wee thread someone mentioning the same problem. I'm 6'7" and could use the space, but not this way.

Thumbs up

I have the Buell pegs on my DL1000, and have used 'em daily for a few weeks now. I quickly adapted to the brake/shift lever positions, and have no troubles. I have to lift my foot a bit to brake or downshift.

Helps to have size 14 boots though!

Bought at bikebandit.com for less than $38 delivered via priority mail.
So do these pegs sit lower than stock and would they make it easier for us with big feet for shifting and braking and seating position?

Thanks. This may be one part of the solution to my size 13 problem.

If you want a pair of Buel pegs, PM me. $30 including shipping. I have small feet and don't like the peg relationship.

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. I didn't quite make it to 17,000 miles on the 2012 DL650A.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 DL1000s. Vee2=2014-2016 DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 DL650s. Glee = 2012-2016 DL650s
