Flush mount turn signals

I have seen a bunch of posts about bikes falling over or going down, and the turn signals breaking off or damaging the fairing. I see recommendations for flush mount turn signals. What turn signals does everyone recommend and are they actually bright enough to be seen? Thanks.

I've got Lockhart-Phillips Flushmount III's on mine and love them. Only problem is that they aren't DOT approved for use as turn signals so if you have to take your bike through inspections that might be a problem.

Here's some photos and info on mine:

Ditto on what Craig said. The lockharts work well, and you can wire them up as running lights if you want. The only problem can be getting replacement light bulbs. Go to a dealer that sells lockhart phillips, or just call them direct. Auto parts stores don't seem to carry the proper bulbs.
