Question Docked the rear and now the buffeting is back????

I was one of the lucky ones that the stock windscreen works for i thought. I had my buffeting problem solved so I did the natural thing and removed that rear fender all the way up to the bottom of the dry-box.

Funny thing is now I get buffeting from 45mph on up.

Guess that I'm gonna have to go get some more farkels to fix this one :-)

Has anyone else had this experience???

I guess changing the shape of the rear fender must alter the shape of the vortex behind the bike. I would never have considered that previously but now it's something to keep in mind.
I assume nothing else has changed (new helmet?).

Chopped my fender off and nothing changed as far as air flow, for me anyway.

Chopped mine right up to the license plate light bracket and no problems here!

Although I did notice if I let my legs flap open, and don't tuck them into the sides of the tank, I get HORRIBLE buffetting from the wind rushing up my thighs.

Good thing I'm not a slut, eh?
