Numbers?

I have been looking at ads. Tonight I saw two bikes and do not know what the prefix means. They are DL1000L2 and DL650AL1? Any help?

"A" means with ABS brakes. DL1000s are almost 1000 ccs while DL650s are almost 650 ccs in displacement. L2 means a 2012 model and L1 means a 2011 model.

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. I didn't quite make it to 17,000 miles on the 2012 DL650A.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 DL1000s. Vee2=2014-2016 DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 DL650s. Glee = 2012-2016 DL650s

Went back and read this and just realized I said prefix when I meant suffix. I appreciate greywolf for answering it. Now I have what most of you may think is another stupid question. I know what a Wee is and what a V is so what is a Glee?

Just to add...
K = the decade from 2001 to 2010
L = the current decade

K7 = 2007, etc. My '07 bike is listed on my state title & registration paperwork as a DL650AK7.

Was there a K10 or an L0??? Did Suzuki count the decade the right way or the popular way??? Everyone knows that the 21st century started in 2001, right...cuz' the 1st century started in year 1, not year 0. Are the K and L, etc. a Suzuki thing, or an Japanese cycle thing, or an industry thing, or law???

K was 2000 to 2009. A 2010 is an L0. It's a Suzuki thing. Very few L0 Suzuki models were imported by Suzuki USA because of a glut of earlier models in dealerships due the economy. No L0/2010 V-Stroms were imported.
