Easiest way to tighten back blinkers?

Hello, kinda new here & this may be a stupid question. But does anyone have good advice on how to tighten the back blinkers. Or maybe a special tool for it without tearing half the bike apart.

Are yours coming apart or are you worried about how floppy they are? They should be somewhat mobile as they are rubber mounted. Can you turn the nut with your fingers?

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. I didn't quite make it to 17,000 miles on the 2012 DL650A.

Yes, the nut is loose. I can turn it with my fingers, but can't get a wrench to turn more than a 1/8 of a turn.

Flipping an open end wrench over usually changes the angle enough to make small bites work. I'd rather try that or take the rear fender off than find and buy a 12 point offset flare nut wrench that would be a perfect tool for the job, if such an animal exists. Give up one of those qualities if possible and such a thing can be found but take time and money to get.

They don't have to be very tight. I'd back it off by hand and get some thread lock solution on the threads then just tighten it up again by hand and use a spanner to get it a little more secure from there.

Load it in the back of the truck , tie it down , then go drop it off at the dealer and let them figure it out.

Don't forget to take lots of pictures then post a write-up for us.

Mine would vibrate the nut clean off after about 400-500 miles. And it was a major pain to get my ham-hocked hands into that tiny space. Finally got fed up one day and put a dot of blue locktite on each. Finger tight was good enough, and they have never come off since. Hope I don't ever have to undo them!
