Considering SV650 --> Strom

Another Vee (or Wee) curious. I've been through a few bikes and currently have a SV650s, but the exploring bug has bit. I think I'm going to trade trailering to track days and short Sunday rides for camping trips and poorly maintained roads. Must be getting old.

Not sure I can help with your situation...or question? I have a 2009 Vee and this past fall we bought a Gladius for my wife. I find the Gladius ( 2009 SVF 650 ) to be a light/ nimble bike. It seems to have respectable power. My Vee is much more comfortable for longer rides. Engine comparisons....the Vee is a torque monster....the 650 is more rev happy to get things going.

With your stated "Camping and less developed roads"....I would think you would be very happy with either Strom. I'm biased towards the Vee...because that's what I own...and I'm a larger guy. But there are tons of Wee owners that are extremely happy with their choice...which I can easily see.

Good Luck...Either Strom would fit your need.

I'm confused as well. Are you seeking information?

I have both and love em equally. The SV is great for day trips and canyons runs, the DL is used for longer trips and crappy weather. Go for it!
