V-strom queries

Okay boys lets have some answers.
I have been seriously looking at the V 1000 in Black.
Firstly some background.

Previous bikes, ZX14, fairly worked , GSXR 750, R1100S Boxer Cup , Harley VRSCR Street Rod , ZZR 1100 and currenly a GSX 1400 SE. (not in order).

Okay ZX14, train a monkey to ride at 300klm p/hr.
GSXR 750, to uncomfortable.
R100S, Beautiful bike, shit gearbox, sleepy wrist.
VRSCR, All show no go, especially twisties.
GSX1400, Great bike so far in all I wanted it to do.

I like to ride fairly hard and am often scaping pegs on the Gsx and love the power coming out of corners.
Often riding big weekends with up to 840 klm days.
I have limited experience on gravel but would like to explore this avenue especially here in Australia with many rides available.
My questions are-How good is the Vee in the twisties, I hear brakes are crap and wind buffeting and noise is very bad.
I am 108 kg and had to upgrade front springs on the GSX, will I have to do the same on the Vee.
Dont be confused I am not after a race bike, my Knee is not on the bitumen but I have been known to have bum off seat.
After looking at all the ADV bikes, for someone not experienced in gravel I can not warrant 25-30 K for a bike I am pretty sure will take a few offs.
To me the BMW are but ugly and I cant see why they are so more expensive and I am not a lover of the boxer motor, especially for what I am asking the bike to do.
After riding the Wee I thought it was fun but I still need the power and yes I rekon it lacked in the brakes.
Unfortunately there are no dealers in Brisbane that has a Vee demo only Wees.
Thanx Guys all info is good info

Did you bother to demo the wee? The only people that buy the 1000's around here are guys that need a little extra power to haul their buxom man boobs around.

Certainly did demo the Wee (read the post again) thats all that was available.
Had the Wee for about an hour.
And no I have no man boobs, just like plenty of toque and HP.
Possibly if you rode something with the above you might have tried to answer my queries instead of being biased obviously you ride the Wee.

Thanx for the missinformed biased opinion from someone who probably doesnt know what twisties or HP means.

OH yes, once again you have given conformation of Arrogance and a post that tells me NOTHING good on ya Dickwad

Well if you rode the 650 and didn't like it, I would suggest buying the 650 then.

Thumbs down

You would have to be the biggest WANKA on here.
If you had any opinions that related to my first post then I would suggest you acquired them from the piece of paper you used to wipe your arse with because YOU ARE FULL OF SHIT.
I will not assume this forum is full of others like you.
You didnt/couldnt answer any of my question.
A smart arse to boot.
Education is not your strongest point, eg you couldnt understand simple grammer on my first post (ride the 650).
I had a genuine query that I thought could be answered by experienced Vee owners but surprise surprise you took any notion of that away by your inexperienced, biased, irrelevent, uneducated, smart arse answer.
All in all you still ride two wheels I suppose, and even loosers like you unfortunatly exist on these forums.
Over here fellas like you get put in the boot of a car, taken to a deserted cane field and taught an invaluable lesson.
I guess you will answer again, and thanks for that, I will be kicking on now and obtain real opinions from Advrider.
I appologise if I have upset other STROM riders, but one BAD apple always spoils the barrel.

Before you tutor people about grammar you might want to learn how to spell grammar. That would bolster your position a bit. By the way....what is a "looser?"

DJ,

Before you criticise people for grammar etc. maybe you should re read your own post, you're not so perfect either.
See the red bits.

Maybe he simply missed the line about you riding a Wee and was just trying to help by offering some input to your post.

Oh, and lose the attitude

JWT,

I hope you don't think all us Aussies are loud mouthed arseholes who don't appreciate feedback from others who have similar interests.

Of course I don't think all Australians are arseholes. I think this thread contains the first death threat aimed at me in all my time on this site. That's pretty entertaining.

OMG, JWT, you're killing me! He just doesn't unnerstan your unique sense of humor. Being a newbie, he obviously has not seen the reason for your comment about the man boobs. 058dj, don't take this the wrong way, but do they have Valium in Ossieland?
