Value of a 04 Wee

A wee is for sale locally. 04 model with 5500 miles. Says it's in great shape but he's asking $4600. Picture doesn't show any top or side cases. Kelly and NADA are in the $3100 ball park. What's a fair offer ?

The ballpark figure for something like this is "How much are you willing to pay?". Its a great bike, and that 04 has had VERY little riding if its only at 5500m. My 06 has well over 10K! If its in great shape, and the owner took good care of it, and it has some good farkles, I would say its worth every penny. Im sure you can talk him down a little if you show him KBB.

$3100 is high retail on NADA, with no farkle expenses.

Supply and demand will most likely allow the seller to find a buyer at $3100 (or higher).

It all boils down to how much you want it, and how patient you are on finding a good deal.

Prices

I think the owner is either very optimistic about pricing. Or its a get that thing outta here yes honey situation. Ergo the high price. There were certainly allot of that when I was looking. I paid $4750 for my K5 with about 5500 on it. At the time I thought I paid a little to much. Seller was in new baby coming mode. On the other hand there was a K4 with abut the same milage for $2900. The guy got so many calls it became a bidding war. He was a retired policeman so I assume violence was avoided. I any case I am glad I got the bike I did. After I bought it there weren't any for sale for months that weren't wrecked ( over farkeled by folks without a clue ). Be patient. Let the bike come to you. It will.

I contacted owner about bike and he said it sold right away...but did not say for how much. Very tough to find a used version locally. He said he priced it at what he had paid for it a year earlier. Unsure why it's on it's third owner already ?
