Exhaust fumes

Hi everybody. Just found this useful site and am considering a 1000 Strom. I used to own a 1150 GS and loved everything about adventure motorcycling. I have one question about the dual pipes beneath the bike of the Stroms. My friend owns a Honda 919 with dual pipes. After a good ride he smells like exhaust fumes probably due to the turbulance, or lack off behind the bike. He hates it, although he can't smell it while riding. I can't find anything in this site regarding it, so I'm assuming at this point its a non-issue unlike the Hondas. The smelly Honda is an issue and is brought up on 919 forums by users. Any help would be great-Thanks!

Hey Cubby,
I ride a Vee and never noticed any gas smell. IMO it is a non-issue.

This might help. http://www.racepartsusa.com/shop/cat...t-p-18249.html To everybody behind you: "You smell what? You're crazy!"
