Wee compared to...

...a KTM 650. I'm riding the Kawasaki for my training course. I've never ridden a Vstrom 650 although I'm getting one delivered next week.
The KTM seems to have a lot of rough edges; I know it's a better off road machine...

Are you considering not taking delivery of the Wee, and buying the KTM?

As a new rider, I think you'll be much happier on the Wee. The seat height is much lower, parts are cheaper (when you drop it) and the road manners will be a bit better.

The KTM is a great bike (though more maintenance intensive) but may not be better for you.

2006 Wee Strom: GIVI crash bars, luggage brackets with E36N side cases, E45 top case with Amotostuff mounting assembly; Murph's fork brace; DV skid plate, radiator, oil cooler guard; Hepco & Becker center stand; Zuk gel seat, hanguards and tank bra; Oxford heated grips; Garmin 2610 GPS; Fenda Extenda; Blue Sea fuse box;

2003 Ducati Monster 800Si.e with a few mods.

Good catch, I skipped over the "650" part and subsonsciously inserted 640.
