A few years ago, it was a 50/50 thing. Later models are now better, but chudder is still a possibility with time, though less of one than it used to be.

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. I didn't quite make it to 17,000 miles on the 2012 DL650A.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 DL1000s. Vee2=2014-2016 DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 DL650s. Glee = 2012-2016 DL650s

Chudder occurs in varying severities, too. I haven't fixed mine yet because it isn't that bad, and doesn't seem to be getting any worse. For some people it makes the bike unrideable, though.

It chudder and if you want to fix it it is done with a modified basket available in the UK and the USA. I believe repairs done yourself is less than 350 US

As far as I know chudder has NOT ever caused a failure of any kind

Either this winter or next I will mod my bike to just make it better not FIX it.
