Financing offers make a return in 2014?

So I've had my eye on the wee/glee for a while now, and was almost ready to pull the trigger on a 2012 while the 0% offer was going this summer. That time has passed, and the price was a little high which is why I passed it up. So now I am hunting the used market a bit but finding that financing is not so good. Would have saved a lot of $$$ on interest with that 0% offer.

For you guys that have been shopping bikes for a while (I'm totally new to dealing with dealerships), what is the likelihood that we will see an offer like this next year? If it's something that may come back then I would probably consider holding off til next year for a new one (or previous model year) instead of used. I'm just not sure how frequently the manufacturers do deals like this on motorcycles.

I'd guess the odds are nearly 100% that you will see such an offer again. There hasn't been a magic turnaround in the market making bikes sell better. I'm still seeing financing around 2% through my credit unions though, not 0 but pretty darnc cheap money.

You may see it agin this year. Some new year models will be coming and incentives for dealers to move inventory before the riding season ends. Don't rely on the dealers word, keep a eye on Suzuki's website. I would also do the math on what you would save buying new with 0% vs used at higher interest rate but much lower price. Some very attractive prices in the for sale section here.
Good luck!

Yes, I am currently looking at a '12 adventure at a dealership with low mileage. Only 7,000 dollars which I could get @3.69% financing. It would certainly be cheaper than new, even with 0%.

Speaking of new models, has their been any information on the upcoming 2014 model? What is Suzuki's launch window for new bikes? Hate to buy something now if they are planning on a total re-vamp of the model or something. But given that the strom hasn't changed much in all of its years I'm not really expecting that.

The DL650 was updated in 2012, so don't look for any changes. The new DL1000 is coming soon.

Bargain financing looks possible. If not zero, maybe 0.9% or some other great rate. Suzuki Motor Co. Is doing OK. Their stock price is not at its high, but doing OK, the company is doing OK, so they should qualify for decent borrowing rates. Worldwide interest rates remain low, so low cost money would be available to Suzuki. But, don't count on what we don't know. If you find a great bike at a fair price, buy, ride, smile, don't look back. Or, gamble that there will be a financing deal, buy with or without the deal, ride, smile, don't look back.
