I just finished a 1700 mile trip around/through the great state of Nebraska. It is nice and green right now (lots of rain) but there are miles and miles of straight roads with not much scenery change through the central part of the state. Try to take hwy 12 or hwy 20. They are northern NE, but worth it through Niobrara river country.
I did find a 30 mile section that reminded me a bit of Southern CA...elevation changes, sweepers bordering on twisties. It is between Arnold and Dunning. (Arnold is 35 miles north of Gothenburg). I didn't have time or I would have ran it again! I saw 3 cars in the 30 miles.
Nebraska is awesome in its own way, but its not Colorado or California or any other mountainous state with twisties. I hope to post my ride report and pics this week. If you have anymore questions, just ask!
