Thumbs up Chile/Argentina

Hi,

Anybody thinking of riding in Chile/ Argentina? I am a relative noob rider, English guy living in Chile. Recently did a 14 day trip round the Chilean/Argentinian Lakes on my 5 year old 30000 mile pre-not so loved DL650 with the missus and she didn't miss a beat (the bike, that is!).

I can't recommend riding here enough - great (many new) roads, safe, empty. Good food and great beer. Cheap accommodation and stunning scenery. Lots of other riders from all over the world to meet.

Looking for people to ride with, people who want the benefit of my little experience here, people who need help with the language, recommendations on places to visit and routes to take.

I am considering renting my bike out occasionally as I work abroad 6 months of the year. More for fun and for others to share the ride than anything so if you are interested get in touch.

Keep it rubber side down!

Where's your home base there?
I'd love to head down there at some point. What months would your bike be available?
Thanks.

Hi Steve,

I am based in Santiago but trying to move to Pichilemu which is on the coast (more awesome, new, empty roads).

I generally work 2 months on 2 months off and it varies, best thing would be to let me know when you are thinking of. There is year round riding in Chile!

Thank you so much for you generosity!!

Cool, make sure you do that - hopefully within the year I'll have more routes and places to suggest!

I have family in BC - must be some great riding near you too, once you're in those mountains.

Yes there is. Give a shout if you are up this way and we can maybe get a ride in.

Hola Laingrich,

I am traveling south....VERY...slowly. Currently in Colombia, it only took me one year to make it here from the States. lol.

I plan to ride to Ushuaia either the end of 2017 or 2018. It would be great to meet up and ride together. I will keep in touch, especially as I get closer to you.

Kevin.
