Talking Honduras

American living and working in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. All travelers welcome. Have garage, tools, spare bedroom, cold beverages and hot food. Cell number +504-9866-3658, personal email: [email protected].

I am also able to recieve parts or packages through the U.S. Postal System, so if you need something, it can be shipped here via USPS and you can pick it up on your through.

Stay away from San Pedro Sula , use common sense , be aware of your surroundings and there are no more and no less problems riding through Honduras than anywhere else in CA.

The Mayan Ruins in Copan are definitely worth a look.

Secondary roads vary with the amount of pot holes but main roads are in very good condition and recently built, except in Tegucigalpa itself where they can be a bit rough. All the CA numbered roads (4,5, etc.) running through Hondruas are 99% split 4 lane and in excellent shape.

Have fun, be careful, no matter where you are riding and be safe.

Larry

Quite kind of you Larry. I was stationed at Soto Cano from 2008-2009 and just really loved this beautiful country. I'll get back! Doing it by bike would be a real treat.

Larry,
Thanks for the offer. Hoping to get back down there in a few years. Last was in 09 on a medical mission trip. Flew into Tegus and based out of Talanga and La Ermita. Beautiful countryside and people. Look forward to coming back. Wish you well.
