Kootenays to South America, Info or Fellow Travelers Welcome.

Hello all Strom Troopers,

I am planning a trip from Nelson BC, to the Baja, then over to the mainland and then south. If anyone has any information they'd like to share, or are interested in accompanying me, let me know. So far I have an idea of leaving Canada in late august or early september, but am open to changing or rearranging. Let me know what you think.

Information on what I might need, where I must see, or where I should avoid would be greatly appreciated. If you have done some long distance traveling and have modded your bike with farkles that are must haves, let me know.

Cool. You might try checking in over at ADV Riders, lots of info there. Somewhere here there is also info from a Romainian couple that shipped their bike over, rode to AK then down to the tip of South America. Very informative

I can help on some sugestions

I have done Mexico a couple of times and ride Arizona in the winter. I have not done Baja on a bike yet but plan to do so next winter. You are leaving a bit early for me but I can help on some question you have.
