I got advice from an older post on where to stay in San Francisco. We took the advice and HIGHLY recommend the http://www.royalpacificmotorinn.com/

It's centrally located to where all the action is, the parking is free, the room was a Junior suite and it was less than $115 a night. A regular room is less than $100. Just be sure to call in your reservation and ask for a room in the back. The front of the hotel faces a VERY busy street with tons of people walking around and partying at night, it's really loud. But in the back of the hotel it's very quiet.

would you consider the neighbourhood to be safe for parking the bike for a day or two?
I dont mind even staying outside the city core, and do the super 8 thing or whatever, I just want to know the bike is somewhat safe.:???:

This place has a small parking lot that seems safe and an underground garage that has someone on duty 24hrs a day.
