Hey guys -

I'm next in line on the Yosh box "loaner" program. :D Which means, sometime in the next 2 weeks or so, the unit will be in Charlotte, NC.

Anyone who lives within a few hours is more than welcome to post here, PM, or email me about getting together and tuning your DL1k while I have the box. The owner prefers that we try to schedule as many tunings as possible to cut down on time, shipping, etc.. so I'm throwing this out there for any un-tuned Strommers that want to take a trip!

Let me know if you want to get tuned up while it's here. I have a pretty well stocked garage, with a mamometer and tools for TBS and other various types of Strom-tinkering. I've got a Napa down the road, and can get the extensions on your vacuum nipples in about 5 minutes. So even if you don't have the extenders installed, for about $7 in tubing and parts from Napa we can do a TBS & FI remap at the same time.

I'm not sure exactly when it will be here, but as soon as I know it's shipped to me, I'll post back here. I'll have approximately a week with the unit before I need to pass it on to the next person on the list.

I am located in Hickory and would be very interested in getting my '05 DL1K tuned. I will be out of town until July 4 and will contact you when I get back.

Thanks,

Mike,

That sounds good - I hope I will still hae the box by then.. I just got notified yesterday that it's on the way to me from Canada, I should get it next week sometime...

Anyone else? I can't believe that there aren't more NC/SC strommers that still haven't Yosh'd yet!! It will make all the difference in the world on the 1k.

I have the Yosh Box!

Anyone else need a FI re-map? If you haven't had it done, and you are thinking "My Strom runs great, why do I need a re-map?" - You owe it to yourself to give this a shot as see what a difference it makes.

Let me know in the next day or so if you want to get Yosh'd in NC/SC.

If it ever comes to MI, I just might try it. Is there a schedule or something to where it is going to be?

Yosh box

Hi Monkeygrass, I have had the Yosh box on as an experiment when it first came to the UK, I had the 0 - 3000 limit upped buy 5%, to cure low speed splurting and popping whilst in traffic, Seems ok but I am rerely in that rev range. I have the bike in for service on Wednesday and would like to alter the 3k to 6k range, any advice on how mutch of a % to increase, any thing else I should know.

Cheers

Hi nightcruiser!

Unless you are running aftermarket pipes, there is not much in that range that is going to change (except MPG - it goes waaaay down). This was my primary reason for getting the box - I had previously set idle (0-3000) at +2.5% and also upped the low and mid ranges to +5. No difference, besides only getting 32 MPG.

I now have tweaked to 2.4% at idle and reset the low and mid ranges back to 0. Bike runs the same, but now I get 38-40 MPG.

If you have aftermarket pipes, you may want to add +5 at low range.

peace,
