Yet another new guy

New guy to the forum. I just bought an 09 V-Strom 650 and joined the forum to learn more about the bike from seasoned owners. I'm loving it so far -- I'll keep you posted after the first couple thousand miles.

I kinda know the story behind the bike's name -- something about a fierce wind in German, right? -- but come on! "V-Strom" doesn't exactly roll off the tongue, now does it?

Anyhow, it's a good bike, despite being saddled with an awkward name. I'm looking forward to the dialog.
