Hi All!

I'm upgrading from a 250cc Rebel. Was itching to buy the Multistrada, but was convinced that it's too much of a bike for a new rider like myself.

V-Strom 650 will be a great upgrade and I'm sure will last me quite some time. Thankfully, Suzuki's 0% financing offer has arrived at the right time!

Well done! The Multistrada looks kind of amazing but the Wee is so much more useful. Take time to get used to the ride height - as a new rider of a tall bike, there's a training time of learning to put your feet down immediately at slow speeds to compensate for the top-heaviness until your skills improve.

I had probably four zero/low-speed drops in precarious situations until I learned to master it.

Quite a jump from a Rebel to the Multi. The 6fiddy sounds like a smart move to me. Has decent power (from what I read) and any unscheduled naps will be much cheaper. Welcome to the forum.

Thanks guys. When I tested the Multi, I had to use the low seat for the balls of my feet to hit the ground. According to Cycle-Ergo.com, I will probably need the low seat for the Wee as well.

I'm getting a good deal on the '12 so I figure I'll use the savings to purchase the crash guards and probably the low seat as well (though I read another forum member saying he's returning his low seat, so I'll have to think about that).

Very smart move.

The Multi 1200 is an amazing bike, but its also a heck of a jump. I've got a buddy with one and I'm amazed at how much power it has and I've owned plenty of liter bikes before.

The new 2012 Wee should be a nice step up for you. The Rebel is rather small, so I'm sure any of these bikes feel large, but good on you for not making such a huge jump! You'll enjoy the new Wee.
