Hi all.

Every year my girlfriend and I go on the WROAR ride. That's Women Ride Out Against Rape. It's a charity ride. The $$ goes to battered women's shelters.

Anyway, here's the link.

The first picture you see is me and my sweetie, back when I had the Concours (top heavy pig).

You're welcome and encouraged to ride with us girls on this one... Hope you can make it.:D

Some ground rules, please.

Janice,

That sounds like a great event. I do not want to pester people for donations, but I will gladly pony up $40 if I can ride too. I hope that is satisfactory.

I know that Honda Canada building. Indeed, most of my bikes have been to it or inside it at one time or another, and I have sent e-mail to it today. I like the motorcycle-friendly speed bumps in the parking lot, but they demand some attention: you do not want to ride over half a speed bump!

I look forward to seeing you at 10:00 AM on Sunday June 1, 2008.

Reminder.

Next Sunday.

This ought to be an interesting ride. Janice hasn't answered my question, but perhaps she is too busy inventing gadgets at Delta Physics Research (http://www.clanfield.net/).

I hope she doesn't invent things like this:

(For some reason, I couldn't get to that link by simply clicking on it; I had to copy the link into my "Address" field.)

I'll see you there. Or not.

Here's a fresh link...

Sorry I haven't gotten back to you sooner. Must've missed the message.

The WROAR ride is open to all riders, female and male. This is the 1st year guys have been encouraged to ride. Previously, they were invited as passengers only. Ought to be an interesting turnout. See you there!!!

Thanks for a great ride!

This was a dandy outing. There were over 70 bikes, ranging from over 30 years old to brand new. There were two Vees and two Wees, and a very wide range of sizes and styles. About two thirds of the riders were women, and everybody was cordial.

There was coffee before the ride, and lunch after. There were prizes, and everybody got some sort of souvenir. I look forward to wearing my pink T-shirt.

Honda let us take out some new CBR125 bikes on a short ride. These little machines are lots of fun, and will introduce a lot of people to motorcycles. For many, this economical machine will be entirely enough.

This ride is an annual event, and I hope to ride in it again.

Thanks, Janice, for notifying us of this ride. I may be the only one your notice fetched in, but don't let that stop you from publicizing it next year! :)

Thanks Keith, it was good to meet you at the ride. The sight of 70+ riders out in the countryside was very cool indeed. The ride collected over $10,000 for the Women's Shelter and will be very welcome there. It's a great cause to ride for.

(It was also very cool to see all the hot babes in leather! Woo hoo!!!)

See ya there next year!
