I'm planning on riding to Winthrop on Sunday, wondering if anyone would like to join me. I'm on my V-Strom so this will be a tour, also known as a moderate pace.

Meet at Sehome Starbucks 10am, stands up at 10:30
We'll stop at the Sedro Woolley Rite Aid (Hwy 20 & Hwy 9 N) at 11 to meet any southerners, or can meet you along the route.

Photo stops along the way are OK.

I'm moving right now, so I've got PLENTY of shit I COULD be doing, but this sounds like fun... I had been wanting to do a little trip this weekend to test out my camping setup for the first time in prep for my Cali trip.

You doing a round trip or spending the night there?

My son and I are headed up there on Sunday, but we're starting from Wenatchee. Will likely grab something to eat in Winthrop, head up to the top of the pass, then turn around and head for home.

He's on a black FZ8, I've got an orange Wee.

Cancelled due to weather. Forecast is for wind and rain and not even that nice in Winthrop.

Maybe Monday???

My oldest son grabbed me this morning and said "Let's Ride!" So... Sure! It was pretty neat spending the day with my oldest, doing something we both enjoy. Rode about 280 miles today. North along the Columbia, then west on the North Cascades Highway. Stopped for hot coffee and the famous "Joe Scramble" in the western town of Winthrop. Most of the ride was pretty warm, but my son accused me of trying to freeze him up on Washington Pass, where these photos were taken:

Sure enjoyed the ride and the company. Hope all of you enjoyed your Father's Day as well. A little windy, but it was nice and dry and warm over on this side of the mountain - was only cold up on the pass in all that snow!

Regards, Guy
