Is it good/bad for the center stand springs to be extended for 4-5 months while in winter lock-up?

It seems that bikes at the dealers spend that much time (and more) on their side stand without any issue.

Winter storage on center stand

Hi, Don't worry about the center stand, It won't hurt it at all,

What you may want to do is get yourself a piece of 1 X4 or 1 X 6 and slip it under your front wheel so that it is not sitting on the concrete in your garage or wherever you are storing it all winter,

Do make sure you winterize it properly if it is just going to sit there, ie, Top up the tank and add stabilizer, Disconnect battery and put on battery tender, Lube Chain to help prevent rust, etc,

Enjoy the ride and best regards,
Blaire

Enjoy the ride, nd

I think the thing about dealer bikes is that they soon belong to some other person and any issues with storage deterioration becomes SEP's.
