Which new model to buy?

DO you like/want all the stuff that is on the Adventure model? If yes then the $2300 is probably cheaper than adding all the stuff to a standard model. If you don't want or like the ad-ons the Adventure models has then save the $2300 and use that to buy the farkles you do want.

Also, do you want cast or spoked wheels? That's a pretty difficult thing to change after the fact.

I'd lean toward the standard, and adding some big GIVI bags, simply because I'd ride it strictly on road.

I wanted the base model so I could choose my own additions.I ended up adding the suzuki hand guards and they work well.

I just purchased the base because I wanted cast wheels. I have added the Suzuki side cases, the lower engine guard and Suzuki case bars and I'm still ahead about $1k. Just turned 500 and can't wait for 600 miles to change the oil and open her open a little more. Great machine.
