My horn stopped working, switch tests fine so it probably is the horn itself which has been sounding a little sick. Where is this thing mounted????? and how do I get to it???
DL 1000 horn is also located behind the radiator. Sounds like it is time for those air horns... A factory horn (part number 1076145) runs about $50. Air horns are about $40 (plus misc wire, connectors, your time to install).
I agree with Dr. M. Add real horns, either air or a set of dual tones.
I disconnected the wires from the crappy stocker and left it where it was. It was too much trouble for me to get out. I ran the stock wires to a relay so I wouldn't burn out the switch and mounted dual Fiamm horns.
I love having real horns on my motorcycles and they are always the first farkles added.
