Suzuki manual says to remove the cowring, page 5-7, fuel tank lift-up section.

What do you guys think is a cowring? or is it something to control all the cows if you have it?

No but I've read a couple in Engrish....

Also it's in the cow's nose if it's got the tail dyed purple. And spiked!

Where is the cowring?
Next to the cowbell.

Hmmm, we do need more cowring.

The cow ring?

That must be a bad translation; I think they meant to say "cow bell".

One could argue that they mean to say "disconnect the horn", but I have no idea what it has to do with removing the tank.

I much prefer to think that ours is the only bike that is actually cool enough to not require more cow bell.

Cow ring

That is the ring that the 50,00 cattle guards were placed in for the new job training after they were laid off as a cost cutting measure.

Probably a typo, Here's a step by step in color 'how-to'
Fuel Tank Removal How to, 650 & 1000
(The joke is that there is no /l/ gesture in japanese... so they hear an /l/ and perceive it as an /r/. It's the closest articulatory approximation, so that's what they perceive and produce. We even used this to our advantage in WWII, as our challenge words/answers would be /l/ heavy...such as "lilliputian".)
