What are the color codes on the wires? I'll see if I can find it on a wiring diagram. What year / model bike do you have?

It is the wiring from your voltage regulator/rectifier.
I have attached a wiring diagram. Enlarge it and look for the red line.

 

Thanks, sorry for not updating sooner. the previous owner replaced the rectifier and the new one bypassed this connector and was no longer needed.

 

FYI, you need to jump the black/red wires and the black/white wires together on that connector. Without jumping those wires your 30A charging system is running on 14ga wires which is not rated for such loads. Suzuki wired (most) of the charging system with two 14ga (15A) wires instead of using a single 12ga (30A) wire. They probably did this to save money and to make it easier to wire up the harness (12ga wire is thicker and stiffer so harder to work with).
