I just bought an 02 Vee, and from what I have read the best performance for value to be had is in Bridgestone Battlax tires, but I can't seem to find them in the right size for the front tire:

110/80/19 front
150/70/17 rear

The rears are very easy to find, but the fronts... not so much.
What's the secret?
Thanks,
Mike

When Bridgestone went from the BT-020 to the BT-021, they stopped making a 19" front tire. There are a number of good 19" street tires though, including the Battlewing.

Good call GW. I simple read the post too quick and didn't catch the fact that they were looking for Battleaxe's and not Battle Wings.

No more Battlewings at the superstore. Murphskits.com has them for $259/set shipped, and I like to support small outfits.

What is the favorite street tire for stroms these days? Continental Road Attack, or...? Are the 19" front Michelin Pilot Road 3 tires in stock anywhere yet?

Edit: Motorcycletire.com claims that they have Michelin PR3 110/80R-19 in stock.

Yeah i was thinking the same thing as well. I have a new tourance for the rear, but was looking for a more street oriented front tire. Either the conti attack or continue to wait it out for the PR3. There shouldn't be any issue running something like a PR3 out front with a tourance rear?
