While replacing my rear tire I took off the rear brake caliper and a small piece of metal fell out of it and I can't figure out where it goes back in?? Can anyone help ImageUploadedByMO Free1395877908.489029.jpg

It prevents the brake pad backing plates from wearing into the aluminum alloy caliper hanger.

Thank you all. Thanks to you I was able to find out where it went. I had never even thought to use the parts catalog to find out where a missing part goes.

Any suggestion on what site is best for viewing the dl650a parts catalogue?

Or years ago, you could order paper copies of the parts manual for my old GT250, GT380, GT550 ....

Don't advise him to find the hardest thing he has and put it where she pees. Too many toilets have been broken by bowling balls due to such advise.

Extra Part

I believe the extra piece is the anti-rattle retainer for the brake pads
You will need to remove the caliper to re-install
