Found a nice vstrom 1K for 7K at a dealer. It has just over 14K miles. Comes with 3 hard bags. also has skid plate. From the shopping around seems like a good price. thoughts?

Very good price if condition is good and if they don't have a bunch of bogus dealership fees.

I bought my 2018 DL1000XT with 2k miles in March for $9995 from a BMW dealership - only fees were a doc fee of about $100 and state sales tax.

Many other dealerships charge literally THOUSANDS of dollars of bogus fees on new and used bikes, on top of sales tax.
thx guys will find out tomorrow out the door price and decide. thx again!

good luck on the purchase, post pics if you get it home ! I paid about that much for my 2014 a few years ago, rode it home from Reno, they are terrific bikes.
I would jump on that, where are you located?? around here that seems about average for private party sell. a stealership would normally be asking more...
A local dealer with a '14 DL1000 wanted an additional $900 'refurbishment fee' in addition to all the usual BS dealer fees.

OP hasn't been back on the forum for over 2 weeks.

Wonder if they bought the bike - thinking probably not or would have expected a post here.
You don't state the brand of the 3 hard cases, but if it's Suzuki which are made by SW Motech or GIVI, Bumot etc.... then the cases and all the mounting hardware that go with them is worth $2000 if you had to buy them separate. Just something that I always take into consideration.
