Many (too many) years ago I used to have to ride in rain and ice; the bike was my only transport. These days its optional and I have tended to avoid it like the plague. It struck me today that I had ridden two consecutive days in wet weather and it was quite a few years since I last did that.

The really strange thing was that I didn't mind it at all. Why? Well with traction control to stop the rear stepping out on the white lines starting out from traffic lights, plus the knowledge that I had ABS in hand to reduce the chance of a front wheel lock-up was all strangely reassuring.

Damn, where are my riding skills going to go...............:beatnik:

Rode into driving rain and 40km headwind shifting to sidewinder with a temp of 7 degrees Celsius last weekend I was a little nervous about rain, wet pavement and the wind, but it was easy to stay relaxed on the bars and just ride--I think it was the bike as well as the confidence of the rider in the traction control
