If anybody spots a killer deal on Zumo 550/450 or a TomTom Rider from one of the vendors would you drop a post in here. Actually we could make it a killer deal on any GPS. :D

found my 550 on ebay, in the no bidding section. Ebay express. I did not go with the absolute cheapest due to my past camera deals in New York, instaed I was in the lower third for about 699.00. GPSSPECIALS was the name of the place. Very well packaged and quick shipping, not a second and had everything it should have came with. 100% positive feedback with over 2300 scoring.

I bought my Zumo 550 from gpsonsale.com a few months ago for $669. They are in Arizona and were easy to deal with. I paid $27 for 2nd day air and got my unit two days after I ordered it. Came complete with all normal accessories: bike and car mounts, power cables for both mounts, cds for unit and maps. Highly recommend them, check current price. Their phone is 480-982-0653 if you want to talk to someone. I ordered mine on-line with no problems.
CAUTION: if you order from an on-line auction (e-bay) Garmin will not honor the warrantee! You can read this statement on Garmins web site.

Not only will Garmin not honor a warranty, they will not sell you cables, accessories or anything else for the unit when you buy it from an auction, flea market, pawn shop or other "gray market" sources.

I have purchased a GPS and accessories from www.gpsdiscount.com with great results. Shipping is free for orders over $500, and they ship fast. This week, I ordered a RAM handlebar mount for my Garmin eTrex Vista ($32) on Monday and received it on Thursday with their $5 shipping. They usually have very good prices on their stock.

When I go to the Web site to order accessories, they don't ask where I bought the GPS, or even whether I actually _have_ one.

Unless they are a certified dealer. I also bought a Square Trade ext. 2 yr. warranty for my Garmin Quest.

This is so, but if you need something specifically designed for your pawn-shop-purchased Garmin GPS, Garmin will tell you, flat-out, they will not support it. I think it has to do with not supporting possibly stolen equipment.

I've purchased two from buydig.com. Currently $686.49. Standard shipping free.

I've never found the best deals for new GPS's on eBay.

Best over-all info site is probably http://gpsinformation.net/

But for you I suggest http://www.zumoforums.com/zumo/.

You can spend a lot of time trying to save $10.

Just pulled the trigger on one myself at the same place for the same price with free shipping. Tks for posting. Found some killer deals on ebay for the Quest R, last one I was watching went for $145. + fair trade if you wanted it and $20. ship.
