Well as a former drag racer that ran a pro stock, I learned what happens when price was the criteria....KA BOOM.
As I said earlier DO YOUR HOMEWORK. Expensive does not mean good and neither does cheap. However as a rule of thumb you get what you pay for.

I have a set of Pivot pegs somewhere in the garage. I'll admit, worth the money if riding dirt but for the road the cheap ebay round 25mm offset foot pegs work better for me.

And they were cheap :), work well though. And I had a set of aftermarket KLR pegs on my 650 for years, also extremely good.

Then there is the P.T. Barnum quote about folks being born!
I'll let you look it up.:wink2:
On the same vein as P.T.Barnum. :grin2:

Just purchased a pair of "1 Pair Black CNC Aluminum Pit Bike Motorcycle Foot Pegs Footrests Footpegs" (sorry, I can't hyperlink yet) from ebay for like $35 CAD. I borrowed a set of the SW-Motech pegs after I broke one of my other Ebay pegs in a nasty tumble. They ARE nice, but I can't stomach paying $160 for a set. There are other accessories that must take priority! <img src="http://www.stromtrooper.com/images/smilies/icon_razz.gif" border="0" alt="" title="Razz" class="inlineimg" />
I will let you all know how I make out with the Chinesium!

Go to https://gl1800riders.com/forums/ and buy a Goldwinger's pegs that came off of their bike. They like to replace their pegs with floorboards. I paid $40 for mine and they are wider side to side and wider front to back. If you ride on road, they are great and allow your feet to move into different positions.
Hey can you post a pic searched the form didn't see any for sale.

Goldwing pegs

I wouldn't think you would find Goldwing pegs posted for sale on a Goldwing site. You will have to request to buy them in the for sale/wanted section of their forum. That's how I got mine.

Here's some pics of each side along with a comparison pic.

Somehow I'm reminded of Larry the Cable guy on the Dixie chicks criticizing the President. You can say anything you want, but that little fat one needs to remember who her audience is. Criticizing the president in front of a country music audience is like running into a trailer park and yelling Walmart sucks!

I too went the goldwing 1800 route. These pegs are wider and a tad lower than OEM and work like magic.
Mine were rght about $40 on Ebay. I've had zero issues and they are way better than the stockers and no
where near as expensive as some of the after market ones.

Best bang for the buck.

I have some cheapish Chinese pegs on my Speed Triple and they seem fine for the job.

On my Vstrom 1000 and mr DR650 I paid for Pivot pegs.
If I'm standing and taking the bumps I'm not going to chance a peg snapping and risk perhaps ripping my inner calf arteries nowhere near medical aid.
And thought of landing hard on the old testicales isn't a pretty one either

Horses for courses!
