I like the inside mount. I have Motech bars and my el cheapo's are mounted on the outside and suffer injury every time I fall over.
Nice video and congratulations it worked. The ones I got had a blue ring around the light and the flashers looked too police like so i cut the wires to them.

Nice, the price of LED lights has really come down, I hope they last. I had a cheapo set on my 650, a washboard road in Utah took em out a couple years ago, the lights held up, but the casing\mounting assembly disintegrated.

. As an afterthought I think I should have an inline fuse . Not sure what to get though and what wire to install it on

Try an inline fuse holder and a 10 amp fuse. Although a 5'er should do for an LED. Put in on the plus side as close to the battery as possible.
You don't want a short down the line, too much chance of further damage.
Most lighting sets that I've gotten, even Chinese, came with a fuse holder and fuse always on the plus side.

To be honest though, the wires on the running lights I have, the excess is balled up under the dash I made.
It's installed correctly but not very neatly. I can half ass a lot of stuff. :surprise:

Thanks for this. I'm looking to do the exact same set up! <img src="http://www.stromtrooper.com/images/StromTrooper_2015/smilies/tango_face_smile.png" border="0" alt="" title="Smile" class="inlineimg" />
no problem . Don't forget to put a 10 amp inline fuse on the plus side near battery. I did not do this in the video
