So I have my Vee torn apart on a lift, needing a clutch basket rebuilt, and new seals/sprockets on the other side. I have the sprockets removed, and am waiting on a new pushrod seal. What I'm wondering is am I safe to remove the basket knowing that the engine will turn some when I'm installing the new sprockets/chain. In other words, is it okay if the engine rotates while the basket is removed, or will that mess up aligning something on the clutch side?

It won't matter the only thing the clutch basket drives is the oil pump.
