Vandalized Ignition Wiring

Well I left my bike at a dealer lot cause I was picking up my van from the mechanic, bike was there a few days in their lot and someone cut the electrical cord going from my ignition switch/key. Im wondering if this is an easy fix myself or should I bring it to bike shop?

I assume you don't solder, if you did you probably wouldn't need to ask the question.

Get some crimp terminals, you may need to remove some stuff the get good access .

Most will require blue ones some may need the bigger yellow ones.

Then just join red to red, black to black, pink to pink and so on, you may have a couple of wires the same color but maybe different sizes so look at that too.

The problem is I'm having a hard time finding the other end of the electrical cord.. it's like they ripped it out or something
You can buy switches on Ebay but the wires are not always just a plug and play.

A wrecking yard could be worth a call.

If the vandals knew V stroms they would know you can't just hot wire one, the ignition switch is part of the security system and must be in place for the bike to run.
You might also ask the dealer if there insurance will cover it? Might have to file a police report.
