2012 DL650A. Checked myself and noted measurements at 21k miles, no adjustment. Just had the dealer service and check at 51k miles. No perceivable change. I have owned the bike since new.

I bought an L4 650 with 3000 miles on the odo back in April. Seller said the valves were checked at 600 mile service by the dealership. I ran it up to 7000+ miles over the Summer and checked it last month and the front exhausts were right at the limit so I moved all the exhausts to the wide limit. Intakes were all a little over the middle of the spec so I left them alone.

The bike was very viby when I bought it which turned out to be a loose front lower throttle body boot clamp so I have to wonder if the front cylinder running lean (due to vacuum leak) caused accelerated wear on the front exhaust valves.

New to me 2007 650 with 33,000 miles. Prior owner confirmed no Valve checks had been done in the past 13 years. I checked them yesterday and all valves well inside of spec:

Rear exhaust (L) 0.25 mm, (R) 0.25 mm
Rear intake (L) 0.16 mmm (R) 0.16 mm
Front exhaust (L) 0.22 mm, (R) 0.23 mm
Front intake (L) 0.14, (R) 0.14 mm

Super happy that no shim changes were necessary. Next check, 60,000 miles (or maybe never?).
