YES - use it
I've used it for many years. Brought my '87 Accord new, after many, many years of great service 218,000 on the clock, a big doe took my Accord down. I was running about 85mph when she nailed me. The Accord still had all the OEM rubber such as hoses, fuel lines, etc when I sold it to a kid and he drove her home with the right side wiped out head light to tail light.
I use silcone on all my rubber.
