Good day fellow stromtroopers!!
I recently purchased a used 2015 wee strom. The problem being that the user manual is in Japanese. I would like to purchase /acquire a book in English!!! Any ideas or books floating around out there??

It is a 2015 650cc vstrom ABS
At least in the US, it appears to be possible to purchase (legitimate) owner's manuals only from dealers. Service manuals can be purchased from Suzuki directly online, but for some reason, not owner's manuals.

If there are other sources, I'd like to hear about them too. I need to replace the manual for my 2021 Wee, thanks to some creep who pilfered a bunch of stuff from my (admittedly unlocked, oops) panniers recently.
Older owners manuals were once available for .pdf download from genuine Suzuki manuals although all but the 2017 DL650 manual seem to have been deleted.

Go to Genuine Suzuki Manuals and search motorcycle, 2017, DL650.

I haven't seen an example of any DL650 on that site, ever, which has an owner's manual available.

I didn't know they were ever available there. Every time I've ever looked there, only service manuals are available for sale, not owner's manuals. Every owner's manual reference just says "see your dealer".

Why, oh why, are owner's manuals not posted readily for download, like every freaking other product on the planet??

I bought my new Vstrom 650 on September 7th. They had misplaced the Owner's Manual AND the locks and key sets for the panniers. They ordered them from somewhere, probably Suzuki. I just got a UPS tracking number yesterday from the dealer. Both are on the way.
More likely they borrowed them off another bike. WHY is this so difficult for dealers to control?
In each crate from the factory is the assembly leaflet, AND keys and manual. All contained in a large plastic bag.
I do not know about panniers but I guess that if the bike comes OEM with panniers that they and their keys will surely be in the crate as well.

The only owner's manual that I can still find listed for free pdf download at Genuine Suzuki Manuals is for the 2017 DL6650. Perhaps there are others as well.

They said they got them Suzuki. While I was still there at that dealer, they wanted to borrow them from another bike, but there were no other Vstrom XTAs at the dealer. So they either ordered/borrowed them from another dealer (unlikely) or got them from Suzuki as they claimed. The two salesmen that worked with me on the bike both expressed exasperation that this kind of thing happens all the time. It's silly. They have these property bins unique to each vehicle where then can store stuff like this but they just can;t seem to stay organized. It seems a manager would be all over this problem.

Anyway, my manual and locks should be here next week.

I think a dealer can get a manual for you, even though we can;t download or order them.

It was a nice dream, wunnit?

That is what makes me suspicious. If the dealer can get spare manuals from Suzuki why then would Suzuki not list them as an available part and sell them?

Did you actually follow the link? It gets the result I showed above. (Unless I'm missing something.)
Yes. My link above opens a quality pdf of the owners manual.
You then save the pdf to your PC (or phone I guess), or print the manual out.
Do you have a pdf app on whatever you are using? Do you ever open pdf's?
Here is the download. I've renamed it.

The "404" error message I posted means the server claims to have not found any document at all at that link. This means that, for whatever reason, the file is available to you, but not to me. Perhaps it's regionally restricted. That's even more irritating than I thought.

It would be interesting to see whether others on this forum can retrieve it, and if so, what country they're in.
Improperly Torqued, the link works fine for me. It may have something your server doesn;t like but mine brings it right up,

It's not "my" server. That error is coming from Suzuki's side.
Oh, FFS.

I tried hitting that link from a different place - a VPN that I use, US-based - and it works fine. The "not found" happens only when I visit it directly, from my home (Comcast) address. :devilish:

There are a bunch of possible reasons that could be happening, none of which are in my control.

Anyway, thanks for posting the doc, @Brockie.
