I used front panniers on my KLR-650 both for added storage space and protection for my legs. Has anyone used or seen them used on a V-Strom?

I have a set that are part of my Touratech tank bag set up. It is a great addition. It gives some wind protection and puts some additional items close at hand when traveling.



you can see them in this picture. This was my setup for my Alaska trip.

All that mud is from the first 80 miles of "paved" roads we covered in Alaska.

You should have seen it when we actually got on one of the gravel roads...



It all ended up looking like this...

I use a FAMSA tank / pannier set. Great for me as they allow me to transfer some light weight forward and they do keep a bit of wind off (although that's really secondary to me.
