Anyone install this system on their '12 or '13 650 Vstrom yet?
Two Brothers Racing :: Suzuki DL650 Exhaust Systems

Sounds pretty good to me in the video and looks nice. I'm wondering if it would work with my Happy Trails center stand and if anyone here has any personal experience with this exhaust system. Thank you! :cheers2:

Yeah... I had a 2Bros exhaust on a GSX-R750 I had for a couple of years. It was pretty loud. But this exhaust system I'm asking about did not sound very loud at all in the video. Did you watch/listen to the video? That's a pretty long can on this setup. The 2Bros exhaust I had was really short.

That's one LONG can! Consider that if you have an Adventure.
It clears on the adventure rack on mine. I don't have a centerstand though. It is very loud. I made a silencer out of a bench grinder wheel flange. I just drilled a larger hole than was in it. I think it was about a 3/4" hole i drilled. The flange fits perfectly between the can and the endcap.

I put a set on my '07 DL1000, and they were too loud for me. I got the silencers available through Two Bros, and they quieted it down considerably, but after a 3500 mile road trip, I sold 'em. Silence is golden. They may not be near as loud on the 650 though, but if they are, look for their silencers, they came in two different models, a little less loud, and a little more less loud.

I just called Two Brother's customer support and asked them if this exhaust system will fit with a center stand installed on the bike. The customer service rep put me on hold about one minute and came back and said YES, it will work with a center stand. About to place my order now. I hope they're right. :yesnod:

Good stuff. Join us on the fun side :hurray: You will be amazed at the difference this will make to the way you see this bike now. Not only in sound but looks and power delivery as well.

Make sure to put pics up when you get it and even a sound/video clip as well if possible.

Had a Two Brothers can on a BMW K1200GT as well as a BMW R1100S. Yeah, they are loud. Riding either of these beemers without ear plugs was not enjoyable. Also, cans had to be repacked every few thousand miles.

I'm enjoying, so far, the stock exhaust of the 650.

I'm guessing I WILL leave it on, actually. I had a 2 Brothers on my GSX-R750 and it was kinda loud but I really liked it. And I come from a cruiser background primarily including a Roadstar Warrior with Hard Krome 2.5" straight pipes without baffles and a Harley Street Bob with V&H Short-Shots without baffles (You want to talk about LOUD...). So I like loud bikes. I'm mellowing out a little with age and don't want anything as loud as the straight pipe setups I've had on other bikes, but I do want SOME sound. We'll see, time will tell, etc, etc, but I'm fairly certain I will like the exhaust system. :yesnod:

I have had two Two Brothers exhausts... and both were replaced by Yoshimura. Seems like most people who get Two Bros and up taking them off... perhaps there is a reason for that....... :headbang:

Well at least you came to your senses and got a proper motorcycle. The 2 Bros are not too loud for me either, but they for sure are louder than the competition. My thoughts on that is because they use "garbage quality" packing in their systems, when you need a repack go with silent sport packing.

I don't think Staintune makes an exhaust for the 2012+ Wee?
Hope I don't get in trouble for posting this.

I emailed Staintune on the weekend and I got the following.

Yes Staintune has made a Muffler and collector for the DL650 2012.
They come as a set and retail of $1200 AUD

Video clip of installed exhaust

OK, I got it installed. Looks really nice to me. It's was a little harder to install than other aftermarket motorcycle exhausts I've done. Hard to get everything to line up perfectly but the parts look like high quality pieces to me. It very easily clears my Happy Trails center stand. I have not yet put the Givi skid plate back on and think there may be a clearance problem with it. I'm going to let the bike cool overnight and will take a close look at putting the skid plate back on in the morning. This exhaust is noticeably louder than stock but (to me) it's not obnoxious. I rode it up and down the street in front of my house twice (4 miles) and wound it out a little and (don't kill/sue me but) did it without a helmet so I could really hear it. I like it. Here's a quick video clip of it to give you an idea. Oh, if you look really closely at the video you'll see where the rear brake linkage just BARELY makes contact with the pipe. I think I will likely adjust it just a hair so that I have a little clearance there. It will make the rear brake pedal drop by a couple of millimeters but I think that will give me the clearance I'd like.

Thanks, Gotawee!

I'd looked at their web site a couple of time and made an assumption when I didn't see anything for the 2012+. The collector looks nice and flat, so I'm thinking there won't be any problem with most skid plates.

I sure like the thought of never repacking the Staintune muffler. I wonder if I can get a sound clip from them. Their pipes are fair medium on the volume scale if I recall.

Thanks for the video, Shag. The canister looks awesome and from what I can tell it sounds awesome as well. I wanted the Yosh, but it looks like either the TwoBros or Staintune are the ticket for me now.

I love me bike, but I'm really not digging the stock exhaust note...
